Yuba County Water Agency awards Bullards Bar Dam Rehabilitation

June 2008 - California Engineering Contractors has been awarded a contract for rehabilitation of the spillway gates at the Bullards Bar Dam by the Yuba County Water Agency. Bullards Bar Dam is the 2^nd tallest dam in California and 5^th tallest in the United States, standing 645 ft above the canyon floor. Construction will begin in September and is scheduled to be completed by the end of November 2008.

CEC's work consists of strengthening the three 30' x 53' steel radial gates to meet current seismic design criteria and applying a protective coating on all spillway gate surfaces.
